We provide high quality free and premium content focused on large cap stocks and ETFs. We employ a rules-based process, based on price and moving averages using intermediate to longer-term positions.  We do not do any type of day trading or swing trading at all. We have been posting charts and ideas, in real time on our Public Twitter Feed since January 2013, and have developed a following currently of over 43,000 people.
We focus on a price based process, combined with a consistent approach to exits, position sizing and risk controls. We do not just take random trades.   All of our positions, entries, exits, stops and position sizing are posted in real time on our Premium Twitter feed and emailed to our Members.

What Is Rules Based Trading?

Systematic trading, or rules-based trading, seeks to use pre-defined entry, exit and position sizing rules to to reduce discretion, bias, prediction and emotional overrides.

Our process is  based on Technical Analysis using price and moving averages. We do not make any type of predictions or market calls. We believe that most known data is captured by price, and that predictive techniques allow a trader to develop directional biases and see what they "want to see", which often prevents them from objectively following price.

We started to develop our own rules-based process when we realized some very important inefficiencies in a discretionary approach:

  • Fundamental analysis does not necessarily provide any insights into the actual direction of market prices.
  • Many traders and investors do not have any type of carefully planned out exit/risk management strategies when a position moves against them, or to successfully navigate through prolonged downtrends and Bear Markets.
  • The trader is usually the weakest link in any trading program, as they allow directional bias, and emotions to influence their decision making process.
  • Many traders hold onto their losing trades for too long and sell their winners too quickly. Our process strives to improve upon this. .

Our process is intermediate to longer term in nature and the  focus is on a diversified basket of Global ETFs and large cap stocks that have a market cap greater than $10B.   It is ideal for those who are trying to capture intermediate to longer term trends in leading stocks and ETFs, yet who do not have the time or desire to look at a computer screen all day or trade very actively. We focus on higher volume, institutional names  such as Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, Boeing, Caterpillar, Citigroup, Exxon Mobil, Google, Haliburton, J. P. Morgan Chase, Johnson & Johnson, Merck,  Nvidia, U.S. Steel, and Wal-Mart, for example.  Our content is for informational and educational purposes only. We do not make any recommendations or provide investment advice. Please see our full Disclaimer.
